Reception Specialist

Purpose of the reception specialist position Manages daily operations and the process of receiving shipments of goods, while maintaining inventory levels and ensuring the safety of the reception area and back storage. Manages all transactions with external suppliers, reviews and reports on differences in invoices and escalates issues as necessary. Increases customer trust, loyalty, and confidence by promoting and executing consistent and compliant operational conditions. Key performance indicators (KPI): What Success Looks Like OSAT (availability): overall customer satisfaction. Point of sale surveys. Percentage of customers with reward cards who rate their journey with an 8, 9, or 10, on a scale of 0 to 10 in questions about driver availability. Total store supplies: supplies as a percentage of sales versus budgeted supplies as a percentage of sales. Essential responsibilities: What is expected of me Service: 40% Creates an environment that allows customers to feel welcomed, important, and appreciated, increasing their trust and loyalty. Manages the plan for announcements and the inventory of direct store delivery (DSD) and ensures that marketing is aligned with CMA requirements and the current marketing plan and maintained for inventory conditions. Ensures that the backroom, refrigerators, and freezers are organized and free of debris and that the supply depot is maintained. Reports any excess or shortage of invoices. Financial: 35% Ensures the financial accuracy of all invoices. Completes daily and weekly administrative tasks (communications, online training, etc.) Maintains inventory/storage conditions and reports any inventory discrepancies. Reviews/inspects products to determine their accuracy, quality, and freshness and takes appropriate action with those items. Assist in planning and organizing the inventory process. Manages the inventory of supplies to ensure approved supply stock and to stay within the established budget. Leadership: 15% Promotes trust and respect among associates by collaborating, promoting teamwork, and communicating specific company, department, and work information. Supports department managers in managing target inventory levels and balancing weekly purchase summaries; Maintain inventory records, invoices, etc., for all departments. Comply with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as company guidelines. Compliance/Safety: 10% Ensures that company standards are maintained in terms of safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity. Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements related to food safety, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), country of origin labeling (COOL), and Department of Agriculture (DOA). Execute all product recalls and removals in a timely manner while ensuring that all items are secured and removed from customer access. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and inspecting and identifying unsafe conditions to report to store management. Notify management of customer or employee accidents. Report all safety hazards or problems and illegal activities, including theft, theft, or fraud. Ensure compliance with wage and hour policies and regulations. Cultivate a culture of safety within the store. Ensure that you and all associates work safely and have received the necessary safety training. Ensure that hazard assessments are posted for associates' reference and that personal protective equipment is available and used by all associates performing tasks within the department as needed. Ensure that equipment is in good working order; report and help with remediation (e.g., block/tag equipment) of safety hazards within the department. Environmental factors Environmental factors Retail - General Heavy: Physical demands: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee must regularly stand or walk on various types of flooring, use manual dexterity, speak, see, hear, smell, and perform repetitive movements. with both hands and/or both feet. It is frequently required that the employee reach waist level or above the head, carry, push, or lift various loads up to the required weights listed. Occasionally required to sit, maintain balance, crouch, kneel, stoop, and climb up to 30 feet. Working conditions: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee may be exposed to working indoors, outdoors, cold, freezing, heated working conditions, and wet/humid conditions. Safety risk factors: It is frequently required that the employee turn their back and/or neck, walk on a slippery or cluttered floor surface, work with dangerous equipment, and be exposed to sharp objects. Occasionally required to be exposed to loud noises, skin irritants, annoying dust, fumes, and hazardous cleaning solutions and other toxins.
