IT Support Specialist

Salary: $39,520 - 41,600 per year Requirements:

• Computer science coursework or equivalent work experience (2 years).
• At least 3 years of experience in a help desk support environment.
• Experience with service desk ticketing systems, Microsoft Office 365, and Active Directory account management.
• A+ and/or Network+ certification is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems; remove viruses and malware; and install, configure, and troubleshoot peripherals such as printers, scanners, and webcams.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, time management, and multitasking skills; attention to detail, goal orientation, a strong work ethic, and openness to learning, training, and constructive feedback.
• Ability to tolerate Florida outdoor conditions; stand, walk, bend, stoop, and stretch for extended periods; lift 50 pounds or more; and provide in-person, hands-on deskside support, including outdoors when needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States, pass required pre-employment background screening, communicate effectively in English, and hold a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Must work from our Tampa, Florida campus, have reliable transportation, and be available for flexible schedules during the October–December holiday season and special events. Regular hours may include weekends; open availability, flexibility, and some local travel may be required for our 24/7 operation.

• Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade PC hardware, software, and equipment to support reliable end-user operations.
• Receive, prioritize, document, and resolve end-user support requests, providing timely assistance in person, remotely, by phone, or by email.
• Troubleshoot computers, IP phones, peripherals, network connections, and related software and hardware, including Microsoft business applications and operating systems, client-specific applications, cloud services, and LAN issues.
• Assist systems staff with software deployments and upgrades, and support workstation lifecycle rotations.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality technical support and customer service, applying practical solutions to user issues.
• Identify and promptly escalate issues to the responsible owner.
• Record accurate, detailed notes on customer issues and resolution steps, completing documentation before closing service requests.
• Maintain the technical asset inventory.
• Create user training manuals, help sheets, FAQs, and procedures.
• Meet or exceed customer service, technical quality, and first-call resolution goals and service levels.
• Understand our organizational needs and mission, contribute to team and organizational targets, attend required staff meetings and ongoing training, and complete other assigned duties.
