Shipping Clerk
Pratt Industries
Overview:
- Plan loads to customers based on order quantities, maximizing trailer utilization and minimizing costs.
- Set up delivery appointments for loads planned
- Set up customer pick ups
- Cut bills for all loads
- Communicate with logistics all outbound loads and delivery times
- High School diploma or GED
- Able to speak, read, comprehend and write legibly in English
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy
- Knowledge of quality standards - both ISO and QS
- Qualified Shipping Forklift Operator, one year experience as a Forklift Operator preferred
- Microsoft Office proficiency preferred
- The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit.
- Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work space is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30 degrees - 110 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
