HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICIAN

Electrician
Duties
Help Plans, designs, coordinates, installs, modifies, tests, repairs, and maintain transformers, converters, regulators, cables, switches, sectionalizes, circuit breakers, mechanical and electronic systems, and other circuit elements located in and near installation substations, buildings and structures, in direct support of real time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, cyber and information technology capabilities.
Plans, constructs, modifies, connects, inspects, locates and repairs overhead and underground electrical distribution lines providing power for climate control, security, and storage to a Pre-positioned War Reserve Stock of underwater mines, torpedoes, and small arms ammunition.
Troubleshoots and maintains distribution circuits, airfield lighting, airfield computer panels, lightning protection systems (LPS), railroad grounding protection systems, railyard LPS, generating and controlling equipment, ship to shore power bunkers and cables.
Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
