Finance Director

Role & responsibilities 1. Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities Develop and execute the companys financial strategy, aligning with business goals. Provide board-level insights and decision support on investments, cost management, and growth opportunities. Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and succession planning. Partner with CEO, COO, and department heads to drive operational efficiency and profitability. 2. Financial Management Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning (FP&A) processes. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management, investors, and regulators. Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations. Optimize capital allocation and investment decisions. 3. Compliance & Risk Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP). Manage internal controls, audits, and regulatory reporting. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial and operational risks. 4. Business Support & Analysis Conduct financial modeling, scenario planning, and profitability analysis. Support M&A, fundraising, or strategic partnership activities. Drive cost optimization, efficiency initiatives, and process improvements. Preferred candidate profile 1. Education & Certifications Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (mandatory). MBA or Masters in Finance/Business (preferred). Professional certifications highly valued: CFA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA. 2. Experience 7 to 10 years in finance, with 3 to 5 years in a managerial/leadership role. Experience in multinational companies, fast-growing startups, or remote teams is highly preferred. Exposure to regional financial regulations (UAE VAT, Singapore GST, corporate taxes). 3. Skills Strong FP&A, accounting, and treasury expertise. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and financial reporting tools. Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 4. Soft Skills & Attributes Strategic thinker with strong decision-making capabilities. Analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing business environments.
