Our client company is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting & Office Assistant to support our day-to-day accounting tasks and general back-office operations. This role will work closely with the accounting team and other departments to ensure smooth administrative and financial processes. Key Responsibilities

Accounting Duties (Bookkeeping - Japanese/English Format)
- Handle daily accounting operations including journal entries, payment processing, and A/R & A/P management
- Maintain accounting records and prepare supporting documents and entries
- Manage petty cash and process employee expenses
- Assist with monthly closing procedures
- Prepare and manage invoices
- Correspond with IRS regarding tax matters
- Provide support for corporate tax filings
- Assist sales team with documentation and coordination
- Answer and direct phone calls professionally
- Organize internal documents and maintain office filing systems
- Light tidying and office supply management
- Conduct online research and ad hoc administrative tasks
- Fluent in Japanese (reading/writing) required
- Experience with QuickBooks is a strong plus
- Accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in accounting or administrative work preferred
