Pepsi MidAmerica is growing, and we are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented  Accountant to join our Finance Team. Position Overview

The Accountant plays a key role in supporting daily  financial operations , partnering with department leaders, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review  financial statements
• Prepare  monthly journal entries
• Assist with  month-end close process
• Reconcile  general ledger and sub-ledger accounts
• Research discrepancies and post adjusting entries
• Assist departments with  operating and capital expenditure budgets
• Analyze  actual vs. budget variances
• Maintain checkbook and cash controls
• Meet regularly with department managers to provide financial insight and reporting support
• Assist with:
• Annual financial audit
• Benefits plan audits
• Workers’ compensation audits
• Income tax return preparation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Required)
• Strong knowledge of  GAAP principles
• Experience with  general ledger accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• Advanced  Microsoft Excel skills preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
