Early College Specialist (Education Support Spec III) Role Title: Education Support Spec III Role Code: 29144-SW FLSA: Exempt Pay Band: 04 Position Number: 29800149 Agency: Laurel Ridge Community College Division: Laurel Ridge Community College (Div) Work Location: Frederick - 069 Hiring Range: $44,192.00 – $57,933.00 (Salary commensurate with competencies and experience) Work Schedule Generally Monday – Thursday 8 am – 5 pm, Friday 8 am – 12 pm. Work may include evening hours and weekends on an as‑needed basis, and may require support at multiple locations. Responsibility Overview Provide programmatic support services to the Early College office. Assist students in earning Associate Degrees, Uniform Certificate in General Studies (UCGS), and other certificates concurrent with high school graduation. Outreach to assigned high schools and homeschools in the service region, collaborate with marketing to allocate outreach resources effectively, and work with other staff to ensure consistency in services. Track all students to certificate/degree/credential attainment using SIS and Navigate and maintain records for each assigned student. Serve as team lead for Career Coaches in assigned high schools. Compensation and Benefits The hiring range for this position is $44,192.00 – $57,933.00. Salary is commensurate with competencies and experience. Experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Professional—Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, or willingness to learn. Ability to present information in individual and group settings. Demonstrated ability to coach and advise a diverse population of students or similar role. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Demonstrated proficiency of oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills. Additional Considerations Experience working with HS and/or College populations in an advising capacity or equivalent. Some College/Post-secondary Experience. Experience at Community College or in high school dual enrollment programs. Experience conducting, developing, or coordinating training programs or equivalent. Travel & Vehicle Operation of a State Vehicle: Yes Required Travel: May be required to sites/campuses and any training. Ability to cover assignments throughout the college service region as necessary.
