Healthcare Call Center Agent

Providing exceptional customer service in a remote capacity, the Healthcare Call Center Agent will manage inbound and outbound calls, respond to electronic correspondence, and handle inquiries related to claims and insurance verification while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Key responsibilities Answer incoming calls and address member or provider inquiries while making outbound calls as needed Accurately document all interactions in the system and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Meet or exceed performance metrics including call handle time and customer satisfaction while adhering to a daily work schedule Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or healthcare certification preferred 1+ year of experience in a call center or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting Strong communication skills with the ability to show empathy and active listening Ability to multitask and navigate multiple systems simultaneously, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and call center software Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
