About the Role

Under supervision, the EPOCA DORADA Contracts Specialist is responsible for the direction, development and implementation of all contracts capable of meeting the needs of EPOCA DORADA as well as managing, overseeing and monitoring contractual relationships andcompliance with EPOCA DORADA contracted community providers, support and administrative contractors.

Responsibilities

· Serves as a  Liaison  to oversee all Contracted Services Agreements and work with allEPOCA DORADA Contracted Providers and Service Entities (Administrative & Support).

· Works closely with the EPOCA DORADA Medical Director to recruit qualified specialist physicians to serve as contracted service providers for the EPOCA DORADA ProviderNetwork.

· Works with EPOCA DORADA contractors to coordinate contracting terms and activitiesbetween the contractors and EPOCA DORADA.

· Performs ongoing monitoring to help ensure continued compliance with credentialing standards and to assess for contractor occurrences that may reflect issues of substandardprofessional conduct and competence.

· Prepares all Contractor agreements (Provider and Administrative/Support) for final approval and signature by the EPOCA DORADA Program Director.

· Additional duties as assigned/required to support and reinforce all responsibilities and the contractual obligations of the Center.

Qualifications

· Education Required: BA/BS desired

· Certifications/Licenses Required:  Valid CA driver’s license.

· Experience Required (Minimum level of experience):  Minimum of 3 years of experience in contracting on behalf of or with health care providers or plans in a managed care setting. 

· Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:  Thorough understanding of medical contracting in a managed care environment, including reimbursement methodologies, compliance adherence and contract language. Knowledge and experience with Medi‐Cal, Medicare, MedicareAdvantage, and commercial contracting models.

· Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:  Requires excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills. Analytical skills, including the ability to perform basic financial analysis. Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and other database and tracking programs needed to perform the Job.

Compensation $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 Salary Range
