The Inpatient Rehabilitation team at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a supportive, team-oriented culture where nurses work closely with therapists, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to help patients regain independence and return home safely. This 20-bed unit features self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation, helping promote flexibility and work-life balance. Nurses gain rewarding experience supporting patients through every step of their recovery journey while working alongside experienced leaders and a collaborative care team.

How you'll contribute 

\n

A Registered Nurse (RN)  who excels in this role:

\n

\n
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatments.
\n
• Documents patient care given.
\n
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
\n
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
\n
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
\n
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
\n
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
\n

What we're looking for 

\n

Applicants should have a current state RN license. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Additional requirements include:

\n

\n
• Active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
\n
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
\n
• \n

  One year of experience preferred.
