Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year ICU experience required License: Valid Compact license must be in hand at submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, OCN Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Travel experience required - Ability to float between units - 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period Description: Travel experience required for ICU RN position. The role requires floating between units as needed. Weekends are required, with a minimum of 6 shifts every 6 weeks. The expected patient ratio is 1:2 during day and night shifts. Special requirements include at least 1 year of ICU experience. Candidates must possess relevant certifications and a valid state license. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a total of 379 staffed beds. The dress code consists of solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire. Expected patient diagnoses include endocrine disorders, respiratory disorders, renal disorders, and MODS. The unit is supported by various interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams and respiratory services. Daily census averages around 13 patients, with 16 beds available. Nurses are expected to manage complex care situations including administering chemotherapy and CRRT. Skills in ventilator management, central line care, and monitoring are required. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple patients. Compliance with facility policies and procedures is essential for all candidates. Travelers may be required to float to nearby facilities as needed. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process.
