Position: Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Location: Cincinnati, OH Job Id: 1704 # of Openings: 1 Position Summary: Eventus WholeHealth delivers an integrated model of care to adults residing in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities through a network of healthcare providers including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Medical Assistants, and in-house Support Staff. We are seeking a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented support and case management services to residents of long-term care facilities and their families. Opportunities may be available for a future transition to counseling services. Our care addresses a wide range of issues from anxiety and depression to severe mental illnesses and end-of-life concerns. As part of a multidisciplinary team, our clinicians significantly impact residents' quality of life by solving problems, delivering excellent clinical care, and serving as a vital link in their care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services by consulting with a licensed clinician to meet individual needs. Develop service plans for supports or care coordination, including treatment planning. Offer linkage, interventions, treatment options, daily life skills restoration, and crisis prevention services. Deliver services to individual or group clients. Train support staff on client triggers, de-escalation techniques, and interventions as per treatment plans. Foster positive relationships with outside contacts. Meet with Resident Care Coordinators or designated staff to review care needs and communicate findings. Maintain open communication with facility staff and adhere to all policies, procedures, and legal standards, including HIPAA regulations. Conduct oneself professionally at all times. Ensure confidentiality of patient information. Consult with the clinical supervisor on unfamiliar cases or requests. Qualifications/Education: Master’s degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy, with eligibility for licensure in the practicing state. Knowledge: Population-specific interventions and care following treatment plans. Relevant rules and regulations governing behavioral health practice. Organizational policies and procedures. Skills Required: Data gathering and analysis of physiological, socioeconomic, behavioral, and emotional information. Training in social and emotional well-being, stress, and anger management, and life skills. Accurate evaluation and appropriate intervention or referral skills. Effective written and verbal communication. High initiative, judgment, and discretion. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Abilities: React calmly in emergency situations. Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members. Evaluate and recommend quality improvements. Handle confidential information responsibly.
