Together, our interrelated programs provide a whole-person, whole-family, and whole-life approach that unlocks solutions for a lifetime.ResponsibilitiesDesign, manage and facilitates quarterly mental health workshops and conducts comprehensive case reviews to achieve goals of the program, appropriately, and ensuring mental health services are offered to the Family & Youth Peer Support (FYPS) Alliance. The Mental Health Advisor will report to the Director of Community Organizer.Review family and youth cases with FYPS teams to evaluate the quality, appropriateness, and timeliness of mental health services. Ensure alignment with clinical best practices and organizational standards as required by Funder.Gather and assess emerging mental health trends in collaboration with internal teams. Utilize insights to inform responsive programming and service delivery strategies to ensure alignment with FYPS model.Design and refine mental health trainings and workshops using data, evidence-based, and field-informed insights. Ensure content is relevant, culturally responsive, and aligned with community needs as outlined by funders and Agency.Plan and deliver quarterly mental health workshops in the community, schools, and non-NYF sites. Expand access to education, resources, and preventative supports.Partner with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to integrate a mental health lens across programs and offer guidance to teams, partners, and community members on mental health concerns, complex cases, and service navigation in order to promote alignment, communication, and coordinated care and strengthen capacity.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case reviews, findings, and recommendations. Uphold regulatory requirements and organizational quality standards.Contribute to organizational priorities and special projects by incorporating mental health expertise. Provide insight to enhance program development and community engagement efforts.Participates in regular individual coaching and mentoring sessions with the Director to support professional growth, performance alignment, and skill development. Together, our community strives to create and maintain working and learning environments that are inclusive, equitable and welcoming.QualificationsMaster's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.1 year of accumulated relevant experiences navigating systems, including child welfare, mental health, and/or substance abuse.Experience in mental health services, preferably within child welfare, family services, or community-based settings and who has lived experience navigating the mental health system and/or family-serving systems.Strong knowledge of trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and evidence-based practices & experience conducting case reviews, audits, or program evaluation to ensure quality of care.Ability to design and facilitate training or workshops for diverse audiences, including community stakeholders. Taking the lead with presenting and/or co-facilitating at public speaking engagements. Must have experience with public speakingExcellent documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant records and reports.Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentExcellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teamsEducation RequiredMasters's Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institutionSalary Range:$67,632.38 /year + $3,500 - Bilingual Additive (as applicable) + $1,000 – Provisional Licensure Additive (as applicable) + $4,000 – Full Licensure Additive (as applicable)
