You will apply deep technical expertise to solve challenging engineering problems, guide multidisciplinary design teams, and drive innovation across project phases. You will also serve as a technical resource and mentor for emerging engineers, while collaborating closely with internal teams, external partners, and clients. We want you to feel empowered to shape bold, impactful solutions that support safe, sustainable mobility for the communities we serve.What You’ll DoLead and perform advanced roadway and highway geometric design using MicroStation and OpenRoads DesignerDevelop and oversee roadway plans, traffic control plans, technical reports, and design related calculationsProvide senior level coordination with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and client stakeholdersReview and validate construction drawings, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates to ensure accuracy, constructability, and qualityMentor and guide junior engineers and interns, offering technical direction and supporting skill developmentApply seasoned engineering judgment to identify design challenges and develop innovative, practical solutionsParticipate in and often lead project meetings, technical discussions, and design reviews across all project phasesSupport task leadership or emerging project management responsibilities, helping ensure on time, on budget delivery Here's what you'll need Bachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringMinimum of 9+ years of progressive professional experience in infrastructure, roadway, and/or highway designProficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads DesignerDemonstrated ability to coordinate and support all phases of complex, multidisciplinary projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain Georgia PE licensureExperience with GDOT projects, as well as county and municipal clientsStrong understanding of geometric design principles, design standards, and industry best practicesIdeally, You’ll Also Have15+ years of experience supporting or leading multidiscipline engineering design and construction projectsExperience developing and reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documentationExcellent analytical, organizational, communication, and time management skillsExperience mentoring or supervising junior staffInterest in advancing into task leadership or project management rolesActive involvement in professional engineering organizationsOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
