Join Our Team as a Dynamic Business Analyst in Danville, CA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven professional to join our Asset Failure Analysis team. This remote role offers the flexibility of working from home while supporting PG&E's mission to enhance system reliability and reduce wildfire risks. Candidates should be available for occasional in-person meetings in San Ramon, CA, a few times per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational efficiency.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and models to support various departments including compliance, operations, strategy, and wildfire risk.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPIs and measure performance against business goals.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders in a clear, actionable format.
• Support ongoing improvement of data integrity and analytics capabilities.
• Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and transformation for reporting and ad hoc analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in a business analytics or data-focused role.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, etc.).
• Proven experience analyzing and visualizing complex datasets.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferences

• Experience with the Palantir Foundry platform or similar enterprise analytics tools.
• Familiarity with the utility industry or infrastructure-related projects.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, or other data querying languages (a plus, not required).
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
