Billing Specialist

Our client, a multi-location OBGYN practice in the Newton MA area, is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, coding, and collections. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is a tight knit group of employees with years of tenure. They have expanded and are looking for a hands on biller that is an excellent communicator - both internally and externally. Responsibilities Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility Review and appeal denied or unpaid claims Utilize medical coding knowledge (ICD-9, ICD-10) for accurate billing Maintain patient billing records and update information as needed Collaborate with medical staff to clarify billing discrepancies Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable and overdue payments Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards Job Type: Full-time Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Experience: ICD-10: 3 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: Newton Lower Falls, MA 02462 (Required) Work Location: In person Requirements Experience in medical billing, coding, and collections Must be proficient in EPIC Practice Management software Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of ICD codes Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance companies Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment #J-18808-Ljbffr 6AM City, LLC
