ACCOUNTING CLERK

Job Summary Jim Norton Toyota of OKC is looking for a dependable, organized, and motivated Filing, Scanning, and Administrative Clerk to support our busy accounting department. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying organized, keeping records accurate, and helping the office run efficiently. You’ll be responsible for filing, scanning, organizing dealership documents, running business-related errands, and assisting the accounting team with general administrative duties. Benefits Competitive Pay Medical, Vision, Dental 401(k) Retirement Plan Group Life Insurance Flexible Spending Account Paid Vacation Employee Discounts Responsibilities Scan and electronically file dealership documents accurately and timely Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems Retrieve and archive documents as requested Deliver paperwork between dealership departments Run dealership errands, including trips to the tag agency, bank, post office, auctions, or other business-related locations Prepare outgoing mail and packages Assist with copying, printing, and assembling accounting paperwork Organize deal jackets and accounting files Shred confidential documents according to company policies Maintain office supply inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing Assist the accounting office with special projects and clerical tasks Perform other administrative duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Automotive dealership experience is a plus Previous office or clerical experience is preferred but not required Familiarity with office equipment, including scanners, copiers, and printers Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to lift file boxes weighing up to 30 pounds Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines Excellent customer service skills, dependable attendance, and positive attitude About Us The Norton Family has been handling Oklahoma’s automotive needs since 1928, and we take pride in providing the best customer experience possible. Physical Requirements The physical requirements of the position are LIGHT to MEDIUM in intensity. Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable necessary to drive vehicles safely. Constant – Reaching, sitting, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing. Frequent – Repetitive motion. Occasional – Balancing, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 lbs. Physical Working Conditions This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including but not limited to temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, minor potential physical hazards as electrical, mechanical, and cleaning equipment, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with operating an auto dealership.
