Planner

Planner Responsibilities: Develop cost estimates on individual parts and update the MRP system accordingly. Perform job planning, routing, and steps based on estimates. Review customer drawings and understand scope of work to budget. Utilize knowledge of machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to estimate costs. Review existing cost components and plan for improvement. Obtain pricing for materials. Obtain bids from subcontractors and manage overhead costs incurred in the manufacture of items. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements: Any combination of education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance. Must work well with others. Must be able to work the scheduled shift and meet company attendance requirements; flexible enough to work overtime or modify work hours on short notice if production deadlines require it.
