The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring various types of flooring surfaces to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment. This role requires knowledge of floor care equipment, materials, and safety procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesSweep, mop, scrub, strip, wax, and buff floorsOperate and maintain floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, scrubbers, extractors, etc.)Perform carpet cleaning and extractionRefinish hard surface floors, including tile, VCT, concrete, and hardwoodApply floor finishes and sealants according to manufacturer specificationsRemove trash and maintain overall cleanliness of assigned areasFollow all safety guidelines and proper chemical handling proceduresIdentify and report maintenance or safety concernsQualificationsPrevious floor care or janitorial experience REQUIREDAbility to operate floor maintenance equipmentKnowledge of floor finishes, strippers, and cleaning chemicalsAbility to lift 35 lbs and stand for extended periodsStrong attention to detailPhysical RequirementsFrequent bending, kneeling, and standingAbility to push and pull equipmentExposure to cleaning chemicals and varying temperaturesMust be able to lift 35 lbsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offExperience:Floor care: 2 years (Preferred)Bobby Dodd Institute (BDI) is an equal opportunity employer and a Drug-Free workplace.
