Tax Manager

ProRecruiters is seeking a Tax Manager to join a growing and dynamic team! The candidate will lead tax engagements for a diverse group of clients. The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing multistate individual and business tax returns, performing tax research, overseeing tax planning projects, managing client relationships, and developing staff. Experience: 5 years of progressive public accounting experience in a tax position. Type: Full-time; Direct Hire Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Responsibilities Oversee preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, passthrough entities, and nonprofits. Manage client relationships by providing proactive tax advice and responding to inquiries. Conduct federal and state tax research and planning projects. Supervise, mentor, and coach tax seniors and staff to ensure accurate and timely work. Utilize tax workflow, preparation, and research platforms (Canopy, UltraTax, Checkpoint, SafeSend). Collaborate with partners to drive firm growth and strategic goals. Ensure compliance with firm standards for quality and efficiency. Support professional development initiatives, including CPA exam reimbursement and CPE. Qualifications Strong technical tax expertise and research ability. Proficiency in MS Office and tax preparation/research platforms. Experience with workflow software and paperless document management. Ability to review complex multistate individual and business tax returns. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Leadership ability to guide, mentor, and develop staff.
