Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist Opportunity

A hospital in Mechanicsville is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide inpatient and STEMI call coverage at Memorial Regional Medical Center. This opportunity offers a structured schedule, strong cardiology team support, and access to advanced cardiac procedures.

Position: Physician Interventional Cardiology Location: Mechanicsville Practice Setting: Inpatient / Call Coverage

What Makes This Opportunity Exciting

Provide care in a 250-bed hospital with 30 ICU beds Work alongside an established Interventional Cardiology team Adult and geriatric patient population Participate in STEMI call aligned with unassigned cardiology call Opportunity to perform advanced interventional cardiology procedures Epic EMR for streamlined documentation and patient management

Schedule & Coverage

Coverage Dates: May 1 June 30, 2026

Onsite Coverage (Weekdays) Monday Friday: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM

Weekday Call Coverage Monday Friday: 5:00 PM 7:00 AM

Weekend Call Coverage Saturday 7:00 AM Sunday 7:00 AM Sunday 7:00 AM Monday 7:00 AM

May Call Dates Needing Coverage: 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, 31

Average Inpatient Admissions: More than 2 per physician daily Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during locum coverage

Required Procedures

Interventional Cardiologists should be comfortable performing:

Balloon Angioplasties Coronary Angioplasty Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) Heart Catheterization Coronary Angiograms Carotid Artery Stenting Atherectomy Embolic Protection Medical management of vascular disease

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology REQUIRED Active Virginia Medical License REQUIRED BLS & ACLS Certifications REQUIRED Clean Malpractice History REQUIRED NPDB Self-Query report required at submission (within 30 days)
