Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days (4x12 Hours, 7:00–19:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit serving a diverse patient population including oncology, cardiac acute/med care, post-surgical, bariatric, urology, neurology, orthopedics, hospice/palliative care, and patients with intellectual disabilities
• Manage a patient assignment at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform and interpret EKG monitoring as required by unit protocols
• Float to a sister facility approximately 25 minutes away as needed to support staffing coverage
• Participate in weekend coverage rotation, including every other weekend (12 weekend shifts per contract)
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Valid Arizona RN license or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
• Minimum 1.5 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required
• Experience with a 1:6 patient ratio required
• Must be willing and able to float to a sister facility as needed; blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
• Experience caring for oncology, hospice/palliative care, or bariatric patient populations preferred
