Position Overview
The Anchor/Reporter will anchor daily live newscasts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong command of news writing and journalism standards, the ability to ad-lib effectively during breaking news situations, and the capacity to collaborate seamlessly with writers and producers.
Compensation
$65,000 – 100,000 dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Write clear, accurate, fact-based, and unbiased television news scripts in proper broadcast style
- Maintain a thorough and current understanding of national and international events
- Collaborate effectively with producers, writers, and production staff
- Perform confidently on air, including during live and breaking news coverage
Training on ENPS is provided. Part-time shifts are available.
Qualifications
- Excellent command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and broadcast writing style
- Willingness and availability to work weekends and overnight shifts
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- Preferred: Prior experience writing television news scripts
- Preferred: Experience writing scripts in ENPS
