Job Summary

Lighting Contractor is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize our warehouse operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily distribution activities, manage inventory control, and ensure the smooth flow of materials through efficient processes. Duties

• Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling operations
• Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high levels of team engagement
• Oversee the operation of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels
• Coordinate logistics activities to optimize distribution center operations, including freight scheduling and carrier communications
• Implement process improvements using lean management principles to increase efficiency and reduce waste
• Operate or oversee the operation of forklifts, RF scanners, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
• Manage shipping & receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatches and accurate documentation
• Conduct regular inventory audits using inventory control tools to prevent loss or discrepancies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline warehouse workflows and improve overall operational performance

Experience

• Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within distribution centers or similar environments
• Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory control, logistics, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment with appropriate certifications preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively, communicate clearly, and foster a collaborative work environment
• Experience implementing process improvements using lean management techniques or similar methodologies
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehousing and materials handling
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy machinery as required
• Prior experience managing distribution center operations or in a warehouse supervisor role is highly desirable
