Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Associate, Data Engineering to join the Data & Analytics team within our Technology organization. In this role, you will play a key part in building and advancing the firm's enterprise data environment, supporting the needs of our venture and growth investment businesses. You will help create a scalable, secure, and future‑ready data ecosystem that drives reporting, analytics, AI initiatives, and data‑informed decision making across the organization. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and integration frameworks that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. Architect and enhance modern data platform solutions with a focus on reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency. Build and manage data ingestion processes that consolidate information from a variety of internal systems and external providers into trusted, enterprise‑grade datasets. Champion data governance efforts by implementing processes and tools related to data quality, metadata management, lineage tracking, monitoring, and access management. Develop foundational data infrastructure that supports advanced analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and enterprise data initiatives. Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, and engineering partners to understand evolving requirements and deliver impactful technical solutions. Improve and maintain Snowflake environments through performance tuning, warehouse optimization, cost management, and governance best practices. Research, evaluate, and implement emerging data technologies that enhance the organization's data strategy and AI capabilities. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Extensive experience designing, building, and supporting large‑scale data platforms, with strong expertise in Snowflake. Advanced SQL skills, including data modeling, query optimization, performance tuning, and complex data transformations. Proficiency in Python for developing automated workflows, orchestration processes, and scalable data solutions. Experience designing cloud‑based data architectures and building modern ETL/ELT frameworks. Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, including data stewardship, lineage, quality management, metadata frameworks, and security controls. Hands‑on experience enabling AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives through well‑designed data infrastructure. Exposure to emerging AI technologies and tools is highly desirable.
