Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital | West Virginia

Are you a proven hospital executive ready to lead a high performing inpatient rehabilitation hospital? We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced healthcare leader with a strong track record of operational excellence, financial stewardship, and strategic growth.

This is an opportunity to lead an established rehabilitation hospital dedicated to helping patients maximize recovery and regain independence. The CEO will have full responsibility for the hospital's operational, financial, clinical, and strategic performance while fostering a culture centered on quality outcomes, employee engagement, and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership for hospital operations, strategy, and performance.
• Drive financial results, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
• Lead business development efforts and strengthen referral relationships.
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.
• Partner with physicians, healthcare systems, and community stakeholders.
• Build, mentor, and develop high performing leadership teams.
• Champion a culture of accountability, patient satisfaction, and clinical excellence.
• Identify opportunities for growth and market expansion.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
• Current or recent experience in a senior hospital leadership role such as:
• Vice President of Operations
• Chief Operating Officer (COO)
• Hospital Administrator
• Associate Administrator
• Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
• Equivalent executive hospital leadership role
• Demonstrated responsibility for hospital operations, strategic planning, financial performance, and team leadership.

Preferred:

• Master's degree (MHA, MBA, or related healthcare field).
• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital leadership experience.
• Acute care hospital executive leadership experience.
• Proven success driving growth, operational improvement, and physician engagement.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished healthcare executive with a stable career progression and a history of leading hospital operations, improving performance metrics, developing leadership teams, and creating strong referral partnerships.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $190,000 - $215,000
• Comprehensive executive benefits package
• Relocation assistance may be available

Important Note:

This role requires significant hospital leadership experience. Candidates from skilled nursing, long term care, home health, hospice, or consulting environments without direct hospital operational leadership responsibility will not be considered.
