TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day and Night rotating shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years inpatient nursing experience required. License: Valid state nursing license required. Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. Must-Have: 2 years of inpatient nursing experience required. Description: This position is for a Mixed Acuity Medical Surgical Oncology unit. The unit cares for medical oncology patients with a variety of diagnoses. Approximately 24 beds are available for Progressive Care Unit and 24 beds for Medical Surgical Telemetry. Chemotherapy competence is not required but opportunities for professional development are available, including a 2-day chemotherapy course. Special focus is on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention. Pediatric patients are rarely encountered and would typically be cared for by permanent staff. Staffing ratios aim for 1:4-5, but may vary based on the needs of the unit. Agencies are expected to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels. Weekend shifts may be variable. Candidates should be prepared for the urgency of fingerprinting and credentialing processes. Two professional references are required, including one from a manager or supervisor. A background in acute care nursing within the last 12 months is essential. Candidates must be able to provide evidence of their qualifications and experience.
