Role Provide Manufacturing and Mission Assurance support for process inspection, part inspection, and other related responsibilities relating to quality Responsibility Conduct part and process inspections, using various gages and measurement tools, to meet Customer requirements Understand relevant specifications, tolerances, and process requirements and apply them to parts and processes Record and document results of measurements for traceability and document control Read and understand technical documents to include drawings, work instructions, and technical instructions Identify and document discrepant parts and measurements for evaluation by engineering personnel in appropriate MRB format Basic understanding of the quality requirements listed in AS9100 and DCMA Communicate with multiple levels of Manufacturing and Mission Assurance employees to convey relevant information, requirements, and discrepancies Learn and understand the various software programs used in the facility Support Manufacturing and Engineering, as needed, to include RCCA, follow up tasks related to MRB, evaluation of repairs / rework, and internal audits General responsibilities include monitoring for unsafe practices, support inspection training, collecting / compiling documents for FAI’s, FOD related activities, and other tasks as assigned by management Must maintain all NG expectations including timecard tracking, performance goals, and other requirements listed in the employee handbook This position may be filled at either a level 2 or level 3 Basic Qualifications for a level 2: High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or direct experience in a quality assurance or inspection role Experience utilizing various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electrical assemblies (Cable Harnesses) Understanding of GD&T with the ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications, and related criteria Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overhead. Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants for long periods of time. The ability to pass New Hire Physical/visual Exam Active Government Secret clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. Experience using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) Primary Level Salary Range: $52,700.00 - $87,900.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $62,700.00 - $104,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
