Join Us in Turning Generosity into Mission‑Fueled WorshipAs the Major Gift Officer, you will partner with passionate individuals to inspire and guide them toward joyful, missional giving. In this rewarding role you will steward a portfolio of donors, help them discover the deeper purpose of their resources, and channel those gifts into the life‑changing work of the International Mission Board.Location: Texas, preferably DFW areaRate: $98,512-$115,896 annually *In this rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by providing leadership in biblical stewardship among individual givers, helping to resource the mission of IMB through various giving strategies. This position encourages givers to discover biblical generosity and unlock the joy of giving as an act of their worship.The ideal candidate is a relational fundraiser with a proven ability to confidently invite transformational gifts. We believe generosity is rooted in relationships. This role is not transactional fundraising, but long-term partnership development with givers passionate about advancing the mission of the IMB.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain relationships with 75-150 current and potential giver relationships within your assigned portfolio.Engage givers in meaningful discussions about gift strategies, including outright and deferred giving options, to promote greater mission and ministry depth through the local church and IMB.Implement a moves-management plan aligned with an established gift-cycle for your portfolio, focusing on achieving a giver-centric strategy with goals for annual gift proposals, face-to-face visits, documented gift closures, and compliance with internal and ethics policies.Maintain accurate records of constituent activity in the Ministry Advancement database and complete additional administrative responsibilities as required.Continuously grow your knowledge of giving trends, changes to charitable tax law, giving vehicles, and general knowledge of philanthropy and ethics, as well as missiological practices and strategic IMB giving opportunities.Achieve annual goal approaching or exceeding $3 million per yearRequirements:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, communications, non-profit management), preferredAt least 5 years of experience in building and maintaining relationships with major donors, with a proven track record of securing multiple gifts of six‑figures and above from individual donorsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire givers and other stakeholdersExperience with planned giving, including charitable trusts, estates, and other complex gift vehiclesDemonstrated expertise, foundations, and other key stakeholdersMaintain the respect and support of IMB constituenciesProficiency in relational database software, such as Virtuous CRM or similar systemAbility to work independently, with minimal supervision, and to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyAccustomed to collaborative work with internal and external partnersAbility to think strategically and develop creative solutions to complex problemsPreferred location in the Houston, TX with a focus on building relationships and engaging with constituents in regionally.Willingness to travel 30% to 50% of the timeBenefits & Perks:Medical insurance with choice of 3 plans, dental, vision, HSA and FSA benefit plans (and more!)Short- and long-term disability and basic life insurance coverage (employer paid) - with supplemental coverage available403(b) Retirement Plan Savings - with 5% employer contribution plus up to a 4% matching contribution, fully vested after 3 years21 days of paid time off accrued in the first year, plus 11 paid holidays and the week between Christmas and New YearsVolunteer Mission Trip Benefits so you can experience mission life firsthand by working with our teams overseasAccess to tuition discountsSee a summary of our comprehensive benefits package for full time regular and contract employees here.This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation that IMB reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting.
