Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients, including patient positioning, sterile technique, and coordination with anesthesia to support safe, efficient procedures.
- Scrub and circulate for a broad range of cases, ensuring instrumentation readiness, equipment function, and adherence to OR protocols.
- Assist with complex robotic-assisted procedures (DaVinci) and contribute to cases involving large head and neck, neuro-spine, and abdominal surgeries.
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, document events, manage specimens, and support immediate post-anesthesia care as needed.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, circulating staff, and surgical techs to maintain patient safety and high-quality turnover between cases.
- May float to other OR areas as required and participate in on-call rotations (up to 6 shifts in a 13-week contract); holiday coverage applies if scheduled.

Requirements
- Active Kansas Registered Nurse license
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- 2+ years of operating room nursing experience with level 1 trauma exposure
- Strong scrub skills and familiarity with DaVinci robotic cases; experience with head/neck, neuro-spine, and ex-lap cases preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OR, supervise aseptic technique, and float to multiple OR areas as needed
- On-call availability up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract; credentials due 1 week prior to start; ability to work scheduled holidays if applicable
