Overview Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Kansas City, KS. Start date 06/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2293 per week to $2451 per week. Shift: 5x8 Days. Work setting: hospital OR. This travel opportunity is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC and requires KS RN licensure and current BLS. On-call shifts are required, and the assignment includes a set schedule with potential for cross-OR coverage. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2293-$2451 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8 Days Start date: 06/14/2026 Location: Kansas City, KS On-call: up to 6 shifts during the contract and holiday coverage as scheduled Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care in the OR, including scrub and circulating duties for diverse surgical cases, with attention to aseptic technique and patient safety. Support DaVinci robotic procedures and complex surgeries (head and neck, neuro spine, and general/ex lap), managing instruments, equipment, and positioning as needed. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to confirm patient identity, procedure, counts, and specimen handling; monitor intraoperative patient status and respond to changes. Prepare rooms between cases, troubleshoot equipment, assist with patient positioning, and ensure efficient turnover while maintaining documentation of intraoperative events. Float to multiple OR environments as required and participate in on-call shifts (up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract); adhere to schedule and holiday coverage as applicable. Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in Kansas (KS RN license). American Heart Association BLS certification. 2+ years OR nursing experience; Level 1 trauma experience required. Strong scrub experience; familiarity with DaVinci robotic systems; experience with head and neck, neuro spine, and ex-lap cases preferred. Ability to float to all ORs as needed; on-call readiness; ability to work within a set schedule. Credentialing readiness: credentials due 1 week prior to start. Benefits and Support Bi-weekly pay.
