We're hiring a self-motivated CNC and Manual Machinist for our Toolroom team.If you take pride in tight tolerances, like solving problems on the floor, and want to grow your craft alongside an experienced crew, we want to hear from you.Why You'll Love Working HereA stable, family-owned company with deep roots and a 65+ year track record - no layoffs-and-rehire churn.Modern equipment - Haas and Okuma CNC machining centers and lathes - plus a fully equipped manual toolroom.Real variety: toolroom precision work mixed with smaller production runs, so no two days look the same.A team that invests in its people, including the chance to mentor apprentices and pass on your craft.A predictable first-shift schedule - home for dinner.What You'll DoOperate our CNC machines - including the Haas Lathe (your primary machine to start), Haas & Okuma Vertical Machining Centers.Program and edit jobs using MasterCam software.Run smaller production-type jobs through the machining centers as needed.Troubleshoot machine and program issues as they come up on the floor.Operate manual machines - lathes, Bridgeport, and surface grinders - when the job calls for it.Report project status to the Tool Room Supervisor daily.Support our apprentices with basic training and hands-on guidance.Take an active part in our safety initiatives.What You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent.Ability to read blueprints and part prints, with a basic understanding of GD&T.Strong math skills, including algebra and trigonometry.Confidence using measuring devices and gages, including the calibration process.Basic English reading and verbal communication skills.Ability to pass our company ISO, English, and Math assessments.Nice to HaveCompletion of an accredited CNC program.Hands-on experience with manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, or surface grinders.Prior experience programming in MasterCam.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsA hands-on shop role: standing, walking, and using your hands throughout the workday, with regular bending, stooping, or twisting.Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds.Vision of 20/40 (with or without correction) and the ability to communicate clearly on the floor.Stamina to work all assigned hours, including overtime as needed.Comfort in a shop environment with ongoing exposure to metalworking machinery, loud noise, dust, mist, oils, and solvents.Ready to Apply?Send us your resume and we'll be in touch.
