Private Staff Group is conducting a confidential search for an accomplished Director of Technology & Systems to lead the technology infrastructure supporting an ultra-high-net-worth family with multiple residences, offices, and creative environments.

\n

This senior leadership position combines strategic technology oversight, team management, and exceptional hands-on service in a sophisticated private environment.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Lead and manage a team of 4–5 AV/IT professionals and external technology specialists.
    • \n
  • Oversee enterprise IT, cybersecurity, networks, cloud infrastructure, and data protection.
    • \n
  • Direct luxury residential AV, home automation, and cinema-quality entertainment systems.
    • \n
  • Manage technology initiatives, vendors, budgets, and system integrations.
    • \n
  • Deliver seamless, discreet, and responsive technology support to Principals and staff.
    • \n

Ideal Candidate

\n
    \n
  • 7+ years of IT/AV leadership experience preferred, ideally supporting UHNW families, luxury estates, or comparable private environments.
    • \n
  • Demonstrated experience working in NYC and New York State; familiarity with the Hamptons.
    • \n
  • Strong expertise in Apple ecosystems, Crestron, Lutron, enterprise networking, and cybersecurity.
    • \n
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams while remaining personally engaged in problem-solving.
    • \n
  • Exceptional discretion, communication skills, and a polished, service-oriented approach.
    • \n
  • Flexibility for frequent travel and support across multiple time zones.
    • \n

Compensation: Highly competitive executive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including fully paid medical insurance for employees and dependents.

Location: New York City, with frequent travel to the Hamptons, West Coast, and international destinations.
