Act as administrative coordinator for the regional TZD steering committee in their role of developing structure, strategy, initiatives, and in monitoring progress.The Department of Public Safety is unable to provide sponsorship for work visas. DPS does not participate in E-Verify.Minimum QualificationsTwo (2) years of experience administering traffic safety awareness or injury prevention programs. A bachelor's degree or higher in journalism, communications, business, health, marketing, law enforcement or equivalent may count for one (1) year of required experience.Experience developing and delivering presentationsExperience in project management or customer relations evaluating data and preparing reports to summarize findings.Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communitiesCandidates that meet the above qualifications will be further evaluated on:Experience administering or managing programs which include multiple stakeholders having a variety of differing interests and needs.Experience working directly with partners to promote awareness and to discuss and plan program operations.Experience working independently with limited supervision to develop programs in coordination with a variety of participants and stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsParticipation or involvement in traffic safety awareness management such as law enforcement waves, education and outreach campaigns, emergency services strategies or engineering projectsExperience administering or managing programs which include multiple stakeholders with differing interests and needsExperience working directly with local, regional or state officials to promote awareness and to discuss and plan program operationsQualitative and quantitative analysis methods sufficient to analyze data and to measure and evaluate program resultsCommunication, planning, problem solving and time management skillsAbility to effectively represent DPS and partner with traffic safety stakeholders from law enforcement, engineering, emergency medical and trauma services, and public health educatorsAbility to identify new and innovative approaches to promote traffic safetyPhysical RequirementsRequires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others, and moving and transporting light objects frequently.
