Type: Long-term Contract Location: Columbia, SC 29210 Work Setting: Hybrid Please Note: Candidates must currently reside in South Carolina to be considered. No relocation assistance is available.

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) modernization initiative focused on replacing legacy Medicaid systems with modern, scalable solutions. This long-term opportunity offers the chance to work on a highly visible enterprise transformation that will modernize business processes, improve system integrations, and support the delivery of healthcare services across the state. Working alongside Project Managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams, you'll help bridge the gap between business needs and technology by analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, facilitating stakeholder collaboration, and driving successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams.
• Analyze business operations to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
• Support business process redesign efforts associated with enterprise modernization initiatives.
• Facilitate business design sessions, stakeholder meetings, and cross-functional workshops.
• Lead discussions that support efficient business configuration across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate priorities across multiple concurrent projects.
• Build strong relationships with business partners while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Monitor project progress and communicate status, risks, and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) supporting business integration efforts.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to successful project delivery.
• Stay current on technology trends and recommend innovative business solutions.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in commercial healthcare
• 3+ years' experience in State Medicaid payer system integration and delivery
• 3+ years familiarity with Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) business architecture principles
• 6+ years familiarity with standard data structures, electronic data interchange, processes and related file formats
• 6+ years of knowledge of business processes, methods/procedures, and technology
• 6 + years' experience with inner workings of cross functional projects

Preferred Skills

• 6+ years of large business and technology integration
• 6+ years of knowledge of Federal Certification requirements and processes
• 6+ year of Project management experience

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or healthcare field or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
