Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an RN required; recent child psychiatric experience within the last 3 months is required. License: Active RN license in the state Certifications: American Health Association BLS certification Must-Have: Must have recent child psychiatric experience within the last 3 months. Must be willing to float to other units and take charge shifts. Psych skills checklist from within the last year. Two supervisory references from the last two years of employment. Description: Provide care for children experiencing serious emotional and behavioral challenges. Work with a multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs and interventions. Utilize the nursing process to meet the needs of patients requiring complex nursing care. Provide clinical supervision to ensure safe and therapeutic delivery of care. Focus on helping patients develop and maintain their sobriety while managing co-occurring psychiatric issues. Provide high-quality intervention, medically assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal, stabilization, and education to promote successful recovery. Experience with different age groups must be clearly listed in the resume. Scheduling requests must be presented in the submission file. Be aware of blackout dates when planning time off. Must have the ability to handle varied patient populations. This position may require weekend shifts every other weekend. Crisis stabilization, assessment, and treatment are key components of the role.
