SugaringNYC – West Linn is looking for a Lead Sugarista to help guide, mentor, and support our team while continuing to deliver exceptional client experiences. This is more than just a service provider role — it is an opportunity to lead by example, contribute to a high-performing salon culture, and grow within an expanding beauty brand.

At SugaringNYC, we specialize in organic hair removal using all-natural sugar paste that is safe and effective for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. We also offer lash lifts, brow laminations, tinting, and vajacial services. Our goal is to help every client feel comfortable, confident, and excited to come back.

• Sugaring can feel intimidating if someone has not done it before, which is why training is such an important part of our culture. As Lead Sugarista, you will help support team members as they build confidence, consistency, and strong client relationships.

What We’re Looking For:

You may be a great fit if you have:

• A current Oregon Esthetician License.
• Prior waxing or sugaring experience (at least 2 years!).
• A passion for the beauty industry.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• A positive, professional, can-do attitude.
• A natural ability to lead, coach, support, and uplift others.

• A willingness to learn, be coached, and continue growing.
• Confidence in educating clients on services, products, memberships, aftercare, and add-on services.

Core Responsibilities:

• Leading by example in professionalism, client care, teamwork, and service quality.
• Training and supporting Sugaristas on services, protocols, client experience, product knowledge, and salon expectations.
• Helping team members grow their confidence, technical skills, and ability to build strong client relationships.
• Setting the tone for excellence in every client interaction, from warm greetings to expert service and personalized recommendations.
• Providing exceptional sugaring and beauty services with care, consistency, and attention to detail.
• Creating a comfortable experience, especially for first-time clients or clients with sensitive skin.
• Educating clients on aftercare, products, packages, memberships, and add-on services that may benefit them.
• Encouraging rebooking, membership sign-ups, add-on services, and retail sales through authentic client education and trust-building.
• Supporting client retention through excellent service and consistent follow-up habits.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional treatment space.
• Collaborating with the front desk and management team to ensure smooth operations and a consistent client experience.
• Staying up to date on current promotions, packages, products, and services.
• Communicating with the team regarding service changes, client needs, special requests, or opportunities for improvement.
• Upholding all Oregon state esthetician license requirements and cleanliness standards.
• Contributing to a positive, high-performing, team-oriented salon culture.

We provide training and support to help you succeed in leadership, rebooking, membership sales, add-on services, product knowledge, and client retention. Our goal is to help you feel confident in both your technical skills and your ability to coach others.

Requirements:

• Licensed Esthetician in Oregon required.
• Prior waxing or sugaring experience required.
• Authorized to work in the United States required.
• Evening and weekend availability required.
