About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Therapy Area Head for Cardiorenal. The successful candidate will be the medical leader responsible for the clinical development strategy across heart failure and fluid overload disease states. This executive role involves leading the design, execution, and strategic progression of clinical programs, as well as the medical strategy for scientific exchange. The role requires a deep understanding of clinical development methodologies, regulatory pathways, and the ability to integrate scientific insights and competitive intelligence into cohesive development strategies. The TAH will also be responsible for regulatory leadership, scientific communication, and collaboration with medical affairs to ensure alignment between clinical and field-based medical strategies. Candidates for this position should have an M.D. with clinical experience, ideally in cardiology, critical care, or nephrology, and an additional PhD, MPH, or MBA is highly valued. A minimum of 10 years' of progressive medical affairs and/or clinical development experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is required, with a strong preference for those with a background in cardiovascular disease and experience in congestive heart failure. The role demands a proven track record in designing and executing clinical trials, leading cross-functional teams, and representing programs in global regulatory interactions. The TAH will also be responsible for people leadership, organizational development, and driving a culture of scientific excellence and collaboration.
