Role Description The Senior Litigation Of Counsel will handle a broad range of civil litigation matters, with a focus on business, employment, real estate, employment, and some trusts and estates and trademark disputes. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating legal issues, drafting and reviewing pleadings and motions, preparing discovery requests and responses, and managing case strategy from inception through resolution. The role involves providing clear, well-reasoned legal advice to clients, participating in negotiations and settlement discussions, and appearing for remote hearings, conferences, and mediations as needed. This is a remote role, requiring self-directed case management, collaboration with partners and team members, and adherence to professional and ethical standards. The number of hours per week depends on how much you want to work. We have lots of work.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation as a lawyer, with proven experience in civil litigation and familiarity with courtroom procedures and the CCP.

• Ability to manage drafting, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements with high attention to detail.

• Experience analyzing complex issues and developing practical, strategic solutions for clients.
\n
• Demonstrated capability to provide clear, business-oriented advice that manages risk and advances client goals.
\n
• Background in any of our practice areas is a bonus.
\n
• At least 10 years of litigation experience.
\n
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, strong analytical abilities, and sound judgment.

• Comfort working remotely with strong time management, organization, and communication skills.
\n
• Experience with legal technology like practice management and legal research tools; interest or experience in AI use.
