Project Administrator

Project AdministratorBlack & McDonald's Utah team is growing! If you are a committed and a collaborative professional looking to contribute to a hard-working, innovative team, this opportunity is for you!The Project Administrator is a valued support role and will be based in the West Valley City administrative office, reporting to the Project Analyst. Their primary focus is to assist with the overall project performance, helping the team to ensure its success. They will work closely with the Project Analyst, Project Managers and Field Personnel.Pay starts at $25.00 per hour; may increase depending on experience. The candidate will be working 32–40 hours per week depending on workload.Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop a working relationship with Field Personnel and Project ManagersReview field time for accuracy and follow up with Project Managers and Field Personnel to correct any inconsistencies and ensuring its accuracyPrepare weekly payroll data in Excel using spreadsheets and pivot tables to send to the payroll department for processingBasic knowledge of Union and Certified PayrollCreate work orders in Oracle JDE as requestedReview equipment used during construction in Microsoft Excel, ensuring its accuracy and loading the data into Oracle JDEUpdating project information in Oracle JDE as requestedRun reports in Oracle JDE and follow up with Project ManagersAssist with coding receipts for credit card transactions used by Field Personnel and Project ManagersMay communicate with various vendors to obtain copies of receipts, as neededFiling, as neededAssist with/provide back up to our Billing PersonnelAssist Field Personnel with their cell phones and in the setup of Android tablets, providing user support, as neededAssist in other administrative functions when necessaryOther duties as assignedCompetency RequirementsStrong Organizational SkillsAbility to Meet DeadlinesCommunicates EffectivelyHigh Attention to DetailMicrosoft Office 365 SkillsIntermediate Excel Skills (e.g. Formulas, Pivot Tables, Filtering, knowledge of using a Macro)Oracle JDE experience would be an asset but not a requirementAptitude for LearningHolds Self and Others AccountableProblem Solver and InnovatorTeamwork and CollaborationAbility to MultitaskValues and Respects OthersEducation RequirementsAssociate's degree2-4 years of experience as a project administrator may substitute for education requirements.Work Experience RequirementsPreferred experience in utility or construction industryOffice Administration tasks and dutiesUnderstanding the importance of Customer Service, Accuracy and DeliverySkills, Abilities, and Other RequirementsProficient knowledge and understanding of:Planning and scheduling skillsAbility to work in a highly collaborative environmentBlack & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
