We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Floor Manager who can lead a high-performing front-of-house team in a high-volume, casual fine dining environment. This position requires more than supervising a shift. We are looking for a leader who is visible on the floor, sets clear expectations, holds employees accountable, leads by example, and takes ownership of the guest experience and overall operation.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of casual fine dining experience, proven restaurant leadership experience, and the confidence to coach employees, address performance concerns, and maintain high standards even during our busiest shifts.

Required experience & qualifications

Successful candidates should have:

• 5+ years of restaurant experience
• 3+ years of casual fine dining experience
• 2+ years of restaurant leadership or management experience
• Experience managing employees in a high-volume restaurant environment
• Proven ability to lead by example and hold employees accountable
• Experience supervising servers, hosts, bartenders, bussers, and other front-of-house employees
• Strong understanding of exceptional guest service and hospitality standards
• Experience coaching, training, developing, and providing performance feedback to employees
• Ability to address employee performance and behavioral concerns professionally and consistently
• Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities during high-volume service
• Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused under pressure
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, closing shifts, and holidays based on business needs

A day in the life of our restaurant floor manager

As a Restaurant Floor Manager, you will be a visible and engaged leader on the restaurant floor. You will take ownership of the shift and ensure our guests receive the level of hospitality, service, and attention expected at Quotes Willowbrook.

You will work closely with hosts, servers, bartenders, bussers, kitchen leadership, and other managers to ensure the restaurant operates efficiently from opening through closing.

This position requires a leader who is willing to step in, support the team, correct issues in real time, and demonstrate the standards expected from others.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage front-of-house operations during assigned shifts
• Lead by example in professionalism, appearance, attendance, communication, teamwork, and guest service
• Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable for meeting performance and service standards
• Coach, train, motivate, and develop front-of-house employees
• Conduct effective pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities
• Ensure proper floor coverage and employee positioning based on business volume
• Monitor server sections, table turns, ticket times, and overall flow of service
• Ensure guests are greeted, seated, and served promptly and professionally
• Maintain a visible management presence throughout the dining room
• Visit guest tables and proactively identify opportunities to improve the guest experience
• Respond quickly and professionally to guest concerns and service recovery situations
• Monitor employee performance throughout the shift and provide immediate coaching when necessary
• Address attendance, uniform, behavior, communication, and performance concerns consistently
• Document and communicate employee performance issues when appropriate
• Partner with kitchen leadership to maintain strong communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams
• Assist with onboarding and training new employees
• Ensure opening, shift-change, and closing responsibilities are completed properly
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards
• Support compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and operational procedures
• Make sound decisions based on the needs of the restaurant rather than individual convenience
• Create a professional, respectful, accountable, and team-focused work environment

Schedule & availability

This is a full-time position requiring flexibility based on the needs of the restaurant.

Restaurant operating hours:

Sunday-Wednesday: 11:00 AM-11:00 PM

Thursday-Saturday: 11:00 AM-12:00 PM

Managers must be available to work a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, closing shifts, and holidays.
