Details General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients Night shift, 4x12 hours from 18:30-07:00 Option of 36 or 48 hours per week Requires at least 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule Patient ratio of 1:5 Epic charting system preferred Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending NM/Compact license accepted if obtained prior to start Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC 2 years of ER experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Center preferred Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, and ABG interpretation Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation monitoring Neurological trauma experience preferred, including CVA, ICP monitoring, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage Ortho trauma experience preferred Additional Information Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, pediatric, cardiac, and neurological cases Facility is a Level I/II Trauma Center, STEMI Certified, and Stroke Certified First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation Travel pairs or groups are not accepted Modules and onsite orientation are required and completed at the start of the assignment American Traveler Job ID P-749631.
