Customer Success Manager (Industrial Automation)

About the Role: Are you a rare hybrid of deep engineering expertise and top-tier client relationship skills? We are hiring an Automation Industrial CSM to serve as the strategic advisor for enterprise manufacturing clients deploying robotics and automated systems. You will bridge the gap between complex control software and real-world factory floor execution to maximize client ROI and drive operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the Floor: Oversee post-sale onboarding and integration workflows directly on the factory floor, aiming for a Go-Live in under 45 days.
- Drive Value: Act as a technical advocate to ensure clients utilize >80% of our hardware/software stack, targeting a +15% boost in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Problem Solve: Use root-cause analysis to overcome deployment roadblocks and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Grow Accounts: Identify system expansion opportunities and drive renewals to maintain >110% Net Retention Rate (NRR) across your territory.
- Bridge the Gap: Translate technical engineering data into clear business insights for both C-suite executives and plant floor operators.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years in Customer Success, Technical Account Management, or Solutions Engineering within industrial automation, robotics, or smart manufacturing.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing plant operations, supply chain logistics, and industrial control systems (PLCs, SCADA).
- Technical Fluency: Ability to read technical engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, and architecture manuals.
- Software: Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and CS management tools (Gainsight, ChurnZero).
Bonus Points For:
- MBA or Engineering Management degree.
- PMP or Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) certification.
- Direct experience leading multi-shift production lines.
