Pharmacist

Pharmacists at Hannaford Supermarkets play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of service and care for our customers. This position involves a range of duties from greeting customers and providing them with prompt and courteous service to assisting in the preparation of prescriptions and maintaining pharmacy records. The pharmacist must ensure the timely delivery of prescriptions, maintain confidentiality, and help customers find over-the-counter items. Additionally, they are responsible for adhering to state and federal laws, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and supporting company safety standards.

Qualifications include successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing, maintaining current national certification and state license, and possessing excellent communication and customer service skills. The pharmacist should have strong keyboard skills, effective time management, and the ability to multi-task in a stressful environment. They must also demonstrate high levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, and be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical requirements include standing for long periods, frequent use of computers and pharmacy equipment, handling various sizes of containers, and lifting up to 20 lbs. The pharmacist must also have sufficient visual acuity and audio capability to process prescriptions and service customers.

Salary range is between $21.80 - $29.00 hourly.
