Part-Time TS/SCI Unarmed Security Officer

Position Summary

Kaipran Services, LLC is seeking professional, dependable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Part-Time Unarmed Security Officers supporting a secure client facility.

This position is responsible for protecting personnel, property, facilities, and sensitive operations while maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment. Part-time officers may provide regularly scheduled coverage, weekend or holiday coverage, relief coverage, or support for additional operational requirements.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, situational awareness, strong communication skills, scheduling flexibility, and the ability to consistently follow company policies, client procedures, and site-specific post orders.

Mandatory Clearance and Citizenship Requirements

Applicants must meet all the following requirements:

• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must possess an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• Must maintain all eligibility requirements associated with the assigned position and client facility.
• Must be willing and able to complete any additional client-required security processing, briefings, access requirements, or suitability reviews.
• Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining the clearance, eligibility, and facility access required for the assignment.

Candidates who do not possess an active TS/SCI clearance will not be eligible for this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Protect assigned personnel, buildings, facilities, property, and sensitive operations.
• Control access to secure, restricted, and controlled areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify employee, visitor, vendor, and contractor identification, credentials, badges, and authorization.
• Prevent unauthorized access to client facilities and restricted areas.
• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled interior and exterior foot patrols.
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, common spaces, restricted areas, and other designated locations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, security concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and requests for security assistance.
• Maintain accurate Daily Activity Reports, incident reports, patrol records, visitor logs, and other required documentation.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to employees, visitors, contractors, and clients.
• Enforce Kaipran Services and client security policies, post orders, rules, and procedures.
• Immediately report significant incidents through the established chain of command.
• Coordinate with supervisors, client representatives, law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, and other emergency personnel when necessary.
• Protect classified, confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information encountered while performing assigned duties.
• Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor while on duty.
• Arrive on time, in the proper uniform, and prepared to assume assigned responsibilities.
• Remain at the assigned post until properly relieved or authorized to leave.
• Follow all company safety, security, attendance, confidentiality, and workplace policies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• United States citizenship required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, cleared-facility, access-control, customer-service, or related experience preferred.
• Must meet all applicable state and local licensing or registration requirements for unarmed security personnel.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with employees, visitors, clients, supervisors, and emergency personnel.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective during stressful or emergency situations.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to report to scheduled shifts on time.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a security team.
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, post orders, emergency procedures, and client requirements.
• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods.
• Ability to prepare accurate, detailed, factual, and professional security reports.
• Basic computer, smartphone, email, and electronic reporting skills.
• Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills.
• Ability to successfully complete all company- and client-required onboarding, orientation, and training.
• Availability to work assigned part-time, relief, weekend, overnight, or holiday shifts as required.

Site-Specific Security Duties

Access Control

• Monitor designated entrances and exits.
• Verify identification, badges, credentials, and access authorization.
• Maintain visitor, vendor, and contractor sign-in and sign-out records.
• Issue or track temporary visitor credentials when authorized.
• Direct visitors to approved locations or client contacts.
• Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering secure, restricted, or controlled areas.
• Immediately report attempted or suspected unauthorized access.
• Follow site procedures for deliveries, vendors, contractors, and escorted visitors.
• Maintain awareness of individuals and vehicles entering or leaving the property.
• Report lost, damaged, expired, or improperly displayed credentials.

Patrol Duties

• Conduct scheduled and unscheduled interior and exterior patrols.
• Inspect doors, gates, windows, barriers, and designated access points.
• Monitor parking areas, sidewalks, entrances, common areas, and surrounding property.
• Identify suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, behaviors, or activities.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, damaged property, and unsecured areas.
• Verify designated doors, alarms, and access points are secured when required.
• Document patrol activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Report unusual conditions or activity through the proper chain of command.

Incident and Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, safety concerns, and emergency situations.
• Assess situations and follow applicable emergency procedures and post orders.
• Contact supervisors, client representatives, law enforcement, fire personnel, or EMS when required.
• Assist with evacuations and emergency procedures within the scope of assigned duties and training.
• Protect and preserve incident scenes when appropriate.
• Observe and document relevant facts, actions, statements, and conditions.
• Complete required incident reports before the end of the assigned shift.
• Immediately escalate serious incidents through the established chain of command.

Reporting and Documentation

• Complete Daily Activity Reports accurately and on time.
• Document patrols, incidents, unusual activity, access issues, and significant interactions.
• Maintain required visitor, contractor, vehicle, key, badge, and access-control logs.
• Ensure all reports are factual, objective, professional, complete, and free from personal conclusions.
• Immediately notify supervision of significant incidents rather than relying solely on a written report.
• Protect security records and sensitive information from unauthorized access or disclosure.

Professional Standards and Compliance

• Follow all Kaipran Services policies, client procedures, and site-specific post orders.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding classified, confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information.
• Remain alert, attentive, and prepared to respond throughout the assigned shift.
• Remain at the assigned post unless properly relieved or authorized to leave.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform appearance.
• Treat employees, clients, visitors, vendors, and coworkers professionally and respectfully.
• Refrain from sleeping, excessive personal phone use, unauthorized electronic-device use, or any activity that interferes with assigned duties.
• Follow the established chain of command when reporting operational or personnel concerns.
• Participate in required training, briefings, security orientations, and emergency exercises.
• Comply with all facility rules applicable to cleared personnel.

Schedule

• Part-time position.
• Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be available or required.
• Officers may be assigned regularly scheduled shifts, relief coverage, call-off coverage, or additional coverage based on operational needs.
• Work hours and assigned locations may vary based on client and operational requirements.
• Officers must maintain reliable and punctual attendance for every accepted or assigned shift.
• Additional hours may be available, but a specific number of weekly hours is not guaranteed unless stated in a written offer.

Compensation

$30.00 per hour

Overtime and holiday compensation will be provided in accordance with applicable company policies and federal, state, and local wage-and-hour requirements.
