Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students as an Occupational Therapist for a local school community near Santa Ana, CA. This onsite opportunity is designed to cover a maternity leave from September 2026 to December 2026, with the possibility of extension. Make a positive impact by helping students develop essential fine motor and life skills across diverse settings, from classrooms to home-based services. You’ll work alongside dedicated educational teams, tapping into your therapeutic expertise to foster student growth and independence.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in California
- Demonstrated experience in school-based OT practice
- Background in healthcare, home health, or teletherapy preferred
- Strong skills in assessing and advancing fine motor development
- Ability to craft and implement individualized therapy plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations and adapting interventions as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services to students onsite, focusing on academic and functional skills
- Conduct thorough evaluations and write clear, actionable reports
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support students’ IEP goals
- Develop and adapt interventions for classroom, school, and, as required, home settings
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress
- Participate in IEP and team meetings, contributing expert input for student success
