Position Title: Staff Accountant

Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid after training - only local candidates in MN & western WI will be considered, weekly onsite presence is required)

Compensation: $35.00 - $40.00 / Per hour

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday

Job Description:

We are partnering with a well-established organization to identify a Staff Accountant to support a collaborative accounting team. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple entities, and contributing to the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing competing priorities while meeting critical monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end close activities, including financial statement preparation and account analysis.
• Prepare and review financial reports for multiple business units and locations.
• Assist with cost reporting and support audit-related reporting requirements.
• Research, analyze, and resolve accounting discrepancies and adjusting entries.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to gather financial information and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
• Utilize Excel to analyze financial data and prepare reporting schedules.\
• Assist with special accounting projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting multiple entities or business units is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
