Security Officer Armed Driver Credentials

Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $21.45 / Hour Job Schedule Mon: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM Tue: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM Wed: 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with access control protocols. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting security‑related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed. Maintain visitor logs, badge distribution records, and other required documentation, reporting unusual activity and/or policy violations through established channels. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for security‑related issues and access control concerns. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, corrections and/or possess a college degree in criminal justice. Possess an armed guard card and unarmed guard card. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
