Position Security Officer Armed CPO Driver Patrol Location West Palm Beach, FL Pay Rate $23.75 / Hour Position Type Full Time Job Schedule Mon–Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and visitor activity, help enforce location rules, and address trespassing, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations in accordance with post instructions. Support emergency and after-hours operations by assisting with alarms, escorts, lock and unlock procedures, and coordination with local law enforcement and/or first responders when needed. Minimum Requirements Possess a CPO certification. Possess an armed guard card or license. Be at least 21 years of age. Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
